Kemet offer multistage, fully enclosed, environmentally friendly, highly effective vacuum solvent cleaning systems for use with Hydrocarbon, Modified Alcohols or Chlorinated Solvents to complement their aqueous ultrasonic cleaning systems.The continuous vacuum operation eliminates air pockets to provide deeper cleaning in recesses, blind holes and better removal of swarfs, chips, emulsions, oil and other solids.

Advantages
- Excellent for removing oil and grease
- Can be more effective than aqueous ultrasonic cleaning (especially on small parts)

Applications
Typical applications include machined metal parts contaminated by oil and swarf or polishing and grinding compounds. Other applications include:-
- Electro-mechanical devices
- Polymer-glass-ceramic parts (Eg insulators)
- Sintered materials (extraction of heat treatment oil)
- Press cut sheet metal components
- Bearings
- Stock parts coated in protective grease / oil
- Components under overhaul / maintenance treatment
Kemet offer two main classes of solvent cleaner, with flash point > 55ºC (Cleaning is generally carried out between 60-80°C)
- Optisol KP-M/ HA for use with hydrocarbons or modified alcohol (Eg alkoxypropanols) solvents
- Optisol KP-S for use with chlorinated solvents (Eg Perchloroethylene, PCE)
Optisol KP-H/MA
For use with hydrocarbons or modified alcohol solvents. 3 versions are available in 50kg, 100kg and 150Kg baskets. All functions such as wash / rinse and dry are within one chamber. The single chamber is utilised for spray cleaning, immersion cleaning, optional ultrasonic cleaning, rinsing and drying
Other options include:-
- Third washing stage for special cleanliness
- Rust inhibitor application
- Fine filtration added to existing standard filters
- Sludge separator
- Automatic basket transport and conveyor
- Automatic programme selection by ID on baskets
